Hello -- So many business owners are struggling to make money right now.
Although it costs them money, a well thought-out public relations effort usually helps businesses grow.
Owners don't have to spend a fortune, but it makes sense to create a plan and, "Just do it..."
I suggest business owners find a pr person who is down-to-earth, energetic, honest and has a media background. Honesty is key. If the pr, or marketing person doesn't believe in the client's services, or her/his restaurant offerings, for example, the rep is doing a disservice.
There are so many pr opportunities out there right now; and many great stories to share.
How helpful has pr been to you and your business? Tell me about what worked for you, what didn't and why.
Thank you - Nancy -

ReplyDeleteNice. A PR person can also help when I'm too busy to remember what part of my business to promote.
ReplyDeleteHave never used a PR person myself. All of my business has come from referrals from my clients - good word-of-mouth is the best PR. But, in these tougher economic ties, I'm wondering whether it's enough...
